The school is to be held at the Physics department of the University of Exeter, UK. The department is home to the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Metamaterials and also the Centre for Graphene Science, with pioneering research in electromagnetics, materials and quantum physics. The Physics Building stands on the highest part of possibly the most beautiful University campus in Britain, with views across the city to the sea and towards Dartmoor.

The school talks will be held in a recently refurbished lecture theatre on the University of Exeter's Streatham campus. Located in the Peter Chalk centre, the facilities offer a small cafe, free WiFi, and is connected via a short tunnel to the Physics department. The Peter Chalk centre will host the majority of the workshop, including registration and all the oral sessions. The building can be identified as number 17 on the University campus map.

Travel Information

By Train The University is served by two railway stations: Exeter St David's and Exeter Central. Exeter St David's is approximately a 15 minute walk from the Physics building. Taxis are also available from the front of the station. Exeter Central is a 20 minute walk from the campus. Taxis can be arranged through Capital Taxis (01392 434343) or Gemini Taxis (01392 666666).

By Car The University is readily accessible from the M5 (junction 29) and A30/A303. For those using satellite navigation, the Physics building postcode is EX4 4QL. Parking on campus is very limited, and is pay-and-display.
